The Securities Exchange Commission (the stock market cops - mostly in name only) STOPPED all naked selling to protect the BIG banks the small investors were shorting all toward HIGH HEAVEN.

Well this also had the FUNNY EFFECT of stopping the Bullion Banker Boyz from shorting gold and PMs via GLD/SLV and all their STOCKS too!

Weird how the things they do to protect their criminal selves backfired on them. :yes::yes::yes::yes::yes::yes:

Oh, yes, today another $70 was added to the spot on gold. :applause_


Thought you might get a kick out of this post - it's all JUST my humble opinion - but it sure makes sense.

I love it. It confirms what we all already knew, insane manipulation and shorting in our market so they could prop theres up under false pretenses!

New York probes short-selling in financial stocks

NEW YORK (Reuters) - New York has started a wide-ranging probe into possible illegal short-selling in the stocks of Wall Street firms such as Goldman Sachs Group Inc (GS.N) and Morgan Stanley (MS.N), Attorney General Andrew Cuomo said on Thursday.

Cuomo said on a conference call with reporters: "I want the short-sellers to know today that I am watching. If it is proper and legal then there is nothing to worry about."

He said his office was concerned about destabilization of the market. He said it would also look back into possible illegal short-selling that may have occurred in stocks of Lehman Brothers Holdings Inc (LEHMQ.PK) and American International Group Inc (AIG.N), two firms at the heart of the Wall Street crisis.

"This investigation will not only encompass short-selling of Lehman Brothers and AIG but also short-selling in other companies that may be occurring, like Morgan Stanley and Goldman Sachs," Cuomo said.

"My office will investigate and prosecute short-sellers who spread bad information and false rumors and who conspire to bring down a company's stock price or who engage in other manipulative and fraudulent conduct."

Cuomo said the markets "need to be stabilized and the only way to help bring about that stability is to root out and deter short-selling that is based on false information."

From Thursday, U.S. securities regulators tightened rules on traders who profit from stock declines.

The New York prosecutor said he believes the SEC should freeze short-selling of financial sector stocks on a temporary basis. On Thursday, UK securities regulators imposed a ban through January 16 on the short-selling of financial-sector stocks to help stabilize the market.

Actually gold hit $920 top today so far.

That is almost (@ $929) a 61.8% VERY IMPORTANT FIBONACCI Retracement to the all time high of around $1,048.00

So we are in WOW territory in only two short days.

Spoke too SOON. They used the taxpayers (yeah, for the GREATER GOOD, right?:sarc:) 180 billion to take gold down - a $100 swing today - we are now OFFICIALLY in Stage TWO of the GOLD BULL MARKET - together with the Central Bullion Bankers causing the BIG SWINGS. :banghead::banghead::banghead:

Yeah, those are the ONLY ones I keep printed up for the FUTURE Stage III GOLD & SILVER Rocket.

At the time they explode (read again! - like 1980 in spades) the second most important thing will be to:

(drum roll please TA - TA!)

Check the health of the US economy. To see if we have SYSTEMIC FAILURE (honest Injun!)

The third thing will be:

(drum roll again please Ta - TA!)

To see who IS in POWER - honestly - And act accordingly.

If McCain - look for other undervalued ASSETS to trade into.

Frankly, I think we SCREWED.

PS this "save the world stuff from Bush II today" probably won't work so good against 500 trillion in Derivatives - cause America is only worth about a tenth of that and they are in hock for three times more than they are worth.
